Kia Ora (Hello) Finally some new blogs for you all to read. I can't believe that it has been nearly two months since I last added to this blog. I keyed into Google - Great Blogs To Read - just to see mind you how this blog stood in the blogging world. It's not #1 but #8, out of 169,000,000 which suits me fine. I'm going to work on it and see if I can't push it to #1. A little bit of catching up to do with listing blogs on the side-bar, but given time I'll get there. Take care all !!!

Kia Ora (Hello), Well, bloggers.......the following blogs should keep you going until I return, so I will see you when the world rolls around to 2007. Hopefully, I'll stll have my two feet on mother earth and not in Heaven !!!
It's 11.28am Wed.27th and there's a song playing on the radio station at the present time in a foreign language, which sounds like some sort of farewell song !!! Strange that it is playing just as I finsih off the posts on this blog. My thoughts & prayers are with you all. Arohanui ! Kakite !

Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat - please put a penny in the old mans hat. Well something like that.........I'm getting old - blockage upstairs, which when you think about it, is a lot better than a blockage downstairs. They say that Christmas is a time to give, a time to receive !!! That is of course true for those who believe in xmas & Santa for right across the world there are people who don't believe. That is up to them - each to their own, so to speak. I bet if you asked 10 people who do believe in xmas, their idea about the meaning of xmas, you would get 10 different answers. So there you go.

Kia Ora Everyone, I dug the following out of the archives and edited it, a little bit and.........while I was there, I dug out 5 old(er) blogs that I had listed before and listed them again - #480 thru to #484. Just to show you that the blogs are updated and well wroth digging into the archives.

Whoever said that you cannot teach "an old dog" new tricks, has not met me. I am as happy as a pig in mud - well happier !!! I have said it before & I'll say it again - you are in for some treats, believe me. If for any reason, you feel I have slipped up and a great blog in my eyes is not a great blog, in your eyes - let me know !!! Leave a comment or send me an email - be blunt if you have too, get it out of your system. Let me know names of what you consider are great blogs and I'll pay them a visit. We don't mind if they are old or new, so as long there is nothing Blue !!!

We are all in this Blog World together. I have had a look at quite a few blogs. I always leave a message to say that I have paid a visit. Sometimes, I can be a bit blunt - Sometimes, I see a good blog,where the blogger may be thinking of throwing in the towel, because no one is leaving comments - I say, hey, you have got a great blog, "pull finger", keep posting, I'll be back....!!! (Still want to be friends ???)

Even when I come across, a blog where they have great photos, but whose language I can't understand, I leave a comment. There is an old saying,"One photo is worth a thousand words". People are "surprised" that someone from downunder in New Zealand has left them a comment. Especially, when its the first comment, they have received.

When I write to friends by hand, I always write " I am only as far away as your letterbox". Now adays with computers/blogs,etc I put "I am only as far away as your computer". If your computer is in your lounge or your bedroom, thats where I am, even though I could be thousands of miles from you. Just make sure, that when I pay a visit, you aren't sitting there in your birthday suit, or you may have to get curtains for your computer!!! (You got windows haven't you???)

#487. NEW- Jan In Sierra Leona This is the first blog that I have seen from Sierra Leona, during my search of the blog world using the "next blog" button. It was interesting to read, how different it is in their part of the world.

#488. NEW - Malaysian Fruits Country - Malaysia. I like peanuts which as we all know, grow in the ground, so where do cashew nuts grow ? In a tree !!! Plus a lot of other fruit, which made for interesting reading. She also has another blog "Little Fingers". What I found more interesting to read though, was her "About Me" on the side-bar. Have a look - we are but one world !!!

Footnote: It would make a interesting theme for a blog for bloggers to do in other countries, where "different fruit is grown". Maybe they could add to it, by doing a recipe as well using the fruit.

#490. Before you say anything about a NZ photo been on this blog instead of on my NZ Blog..........I'll get in first !!! This is a photo from the 1993 movie of "The Piano" which was filmed on Karekare Beach on the west coast, here in Auckland, not far from where I sit. The 2 actors in the photo are Holly Hunter & Anna Paquin. In a roundabout way, I received a email from a lady who saw one of my comments on someone else's blog. So........I thought I would have a look at her blog and this was the first post that popped up. Nothing strange in that, you might say, but..........I could not understand her language because her blog is called El Fabuloso Destino De La Sentorita P and she is from the west coast............of the world, in Chile !!!
I wouldn't tell you a lie and lead you up the garden path, would I ??? Maybe I would, but I wouldn't hold your hand, because I don't know if it's clean or where it's been !!! (hehe)

Kia Ora (Hello) It seems I have bloggers scratching their head as to who blogger #500 will be !!! Well, scratch away, because I don't think that you will get within a bulls roar of guessing the bloggers name.

Footnote: 11th June - The "baby photo" must be old, because Qeun Sambat is now 6 years old and lives in a village of Sit Tbow in Cambodia, with his 5m python which is his "best friend". Superstitious villagers are flocking to see Qeun, who they believe has supernatural powers and was probably the son of a dragon, in a former life.

Kia Ora / Haere Mai, I think everyone by now has learnt what those "maori" words mean !!! If they don't, well just tough - they can look back at the older posts and see. Well time is counting down - to ANZAC DAY on 25th April. I have done a special for it this year as I wasn't around the blog world this time last year. I hope everyone likes it - click it on and see. There's a lot of websites to have a look at it and been ANZAC Day,if you live in NZ or Australia you will hopefully be at one of the Dawn parades. I am going to change my hours of blogging and attend a Dawn service - for the first time in my life !!!

#603. NEW - A Great Crochet Blog !!! (This blog seems a.o.k - no problems there !!!)

PLEASE NOTE: The following email somewhere or other ended up on this blog. How, I don't honestly know, but it makes for interesting reading, especially the property dealing !!! Someone lose an email. This blog is not open to anyone, but me !!! I was adding on new blogs as I read about them, so I wouldn't lose them and saving them in draft form. Time is 7.30am 15th and I have been on this computer since 6pm 14th. I had one break when I went to get something to eat around the corner, but I closed everything off like I always do. Yes !!! I'm still working out of internet cafes - having brought or been given a computer of my own - yet !!! Maybe tomorrow, someone will take pity on me and "pigs" will fly !!! It has just turned up in the last 30 minutes. The little man in the computer must of been having a nap - come to think of it, I hear two lots of footsteps in my head, maybe he has joined the little man in my head on a mission to see where the garbage shute ends !!! (hehe) I was thinking of doing a blog and teaching people "basis english" - maybe I was thinking out too loud !!!

I've been teaching beginners for the last 2 and a half weeks, back at the school that's given me the most work so far. A lot of their teachers only work part time cos they're parents or they're 60ish and they are often off sick or on holiday. IT's quite nice working there actually, I like all the other teachers and it has a nice feel to it. I feel comfortable there. only bad thing is they don't have any computers or internet for the teachers!! Teaching beginners is pretty much a new experience for me. At first I didn't like it but I'm actually quite fond of my class now. There's this crazy French Tunisian woman who's a bit mad cos of trauma in her life. She is very hotblooded as you can imagine from a French and Arabic mix with some craziness thrown in!! If she doesn't understand something she starts to panic and gets really angry and starts speaking in rapid French. "Leila non compris. Non compris!"!! Although on the other hand she can be quite fun sometimes too! Then I have 2 Saudi Arabian boys - aged 19 and 22, thankfully they're young enough to not have issues with female teachers. One of them asks to leave the class at 12.30 every day so he can go up to the prayer room to pray to mecca. They both have beards. The younger one is going back to Saudi Arabia in a couple of weeks to get married in an arranged marriage. He refused to play this game we were playing with dice the other day, because apparently dice is a symbol of gambling which they are against. Then the next day I got them to play it again but got them to use coloured rods to pick the numbers instead of a dice hoping that would be ok with him, but he still refused to play! However the other Saudi guy played it without issue...! I also have an old Japanese man who wants to marry me in this class, and a Turkish guy and a Japanese girl and a Taiwanese guy who has the most atrocious pronunciation of any student I've ever had. Trying to get him to say something like "post office" he says "poso" I say no, "post office". He says "pos off" I say "post office"! He says "pos off" I say "post off - iss!!" he says "pos off" I say "off - iss!" He says "off" I say "off iss!!!!" And finally he says "office" then I say "post office" and he says "poso". But they are making good progress. They know basic verbs and nouns now and can say basic sentences and can understand me quite a bit.

The roads and public transport in Auckland are just horrendous. It's like being in London, it's so bad. If there is any problem, any roadworks or anything, the bus just crawls all the way into town. And it's so expensive too, and they've just put petrol up. I read a fascinating article in the paper that explained everything I've been wanting to know about how Auckland's transport is so bad. Cos a friend of my was in Uzbekistan recently where everyting is super super cheap including their public transport system, (trains) which is extremely efficient and gets you wherever you want to go. It's a third world country except for it's train system which is super advanced compared to Auckland. Anyway, it's because Auckland governement has put about 90% of their money into the roads instead of into public transport from the 1950s until the 1990s. In 1950 58% of AUcklanders used public transport. By 1991 on 7% used public transport! The article also said that Auckland is probably the worst city in the world for too many cars and bad public transport, worse even than Los Angeles which is famous for having too many cars and bad public transport. In L.A. there are 1.4 cars per household, in Auckland there are 1.6 cars per household!!! I remember before I left N.Z., we actually had 6 cars and a yacht at our house. My mum's car, my dad's 2 vans, my brother's car that he drove and his mustang that he was playing with, and my car.

You remember how we used to go to the movies in Staples corner and we hated it, it was dirty adn full of irritating kids? And then we went to that cinema in Kilburn and it was just great, it was full of mature adults, no kids, and it was so much more sophisticated and there was a bar. Well I went to a cinema in Auckland that reminded me of that. It was in Newmarket and it shows more alternative movies instead of just the mainstream ones and it had a bar and was a really nice refreshing change to the normal village cinemas everyone goes to. We saw this really weird kiwi movie that was really irritating. It had these spies in Auckland but it was just so funny hearing spies with Kiwi accents, we just totally couldn't take them seriously, and they were dumb and got themselves all killed really quickly anyway.

Well I've done one property trade and got $9000 from it, although it was my property coach that did all that actually. Did I tell you I've got a property coach? HE's really helping me a lot although I'm a bit annoyed with him sometimes, cos he's really hard to get hold of and I would prefer someone who would sit down with me each week and write weekly goals together and then sit down with me the next week and see how well I've achieved them. But anyway what I'm trying to do is do some property trading to make money for a deposit - and in so doing become an expert in property hunting. IT works like this - I find a good property, get it under contract (ie. get the vendor to agree to the price), but I have 10 working days then to find someone who wants to buy the property - I give them the contract to buy it and they give me a fee for it. If I don't find someone I have an out clause put into the contract so I can get out of it. So I found one great property that was a bit of a fluke, and my coach went and looked at it with me and I put in the first offer of a price, but then he sort of took over and did all the rest of the negociation and all the rest of it. But he did get me $9000 which has more than paid for the cost of this course ($2000)!! But my goal for the next 2 months until I leave is to do at least another 5 of these trades and hopefully buy at least 2 properties myself too.

I'm going to london on the 29th of June, I'm really looking forward to it I'm fed up with Auckland actually. I need a change! I'm going to travel with Tiffany for a month hopefully, if we can afford it, and I'm going to Morroco with STef. I'm coming back to NZ to carry on the property investing in October.

I found everything but what I was looking for - a book with blog addresses in it. I promised I would list a blog, but.......... next time fella. !!! #670. RE-LISTED - The Veiw From Down The Road Country - USA. Who ever said, that each year as men grow old(er) they lose a little bit of everything has never met this man. His "posts" are very interesting to read, plus there are some great photos.

Footnote: This man certainly doesn't let the grass grow under his feet. At 8.26, I left a comment on his post about the "ambulance bike" and continued to surf the blog world. At 8.43, his blog popped up again and in that short time, he had done 3 more "posts". One of them was a about vintage cars and some very nice looking birds in a country called - New Zealand !!!

He left a comment on "All Comments Here Please" which said - "One of the best things about a blog, is the contact with people from around the world" !!! So true - there are no barriers. We are all only as far away as our computers.

#671. NEW - Coffee Anyone ??? Country - Indonesia. Last week, I included a "great blog" for "Tea" drinkers and guess what ??? Coffee drinkers complained and said tea was for wimps !!! So to all those "coffee drinkers" out who complained (I won't mention any names) here's your "coffee" - I hope you ............!!! One of the coffees at $175 a pound (no currency is mentioned) would suit those who complained "right down to the ground", especially after they have seen where it's been before it hit the ground - real "ground" coffee !!! Read the January 24th "post". Also read the January 9th "post" as well - "Tales From a World Coffee Judge" - in fact the "head coffee judge" who judged the barista coffee awards in a country called New Zealand !!! After the awards, he flew to Australia where he got stuck in the airport for 2 days, waiting for a plane !!! Should of stayed in New Zealand !!!

#672. NEW - All Fat Latte !!! Country - Hawaii. Just so those coffee drinkers can't complain ever again, I have included this blog for them as well. If they still dare to complain, I'll tell them to put their coffee cup, "where the sun don't shine" !!! (hehe) Actually, I didn't see much coffee apart from the "coffee cup", but if you click the word "ho-ho" under the post of 28th of November, you will get "Hostess Cup Cakes" to go with your coffee. There is also a link on the Dec.6th "post" fo beer drinkers to click on to. And, and it doesn't end there - there's $12 bottles of wine as well, if you click on to #10 - Random Fun - and watch the video clip. In fact while you are sitting there with your tea, coffee, beer or wine, watch all 12 video clips. Just make sure you don't have a moutful of liquid, when you hear the punch-line for the #10 video clip, because I certainly aren't paying for any "cleaning bills" !!!

Having had another look at it, I have broken the link and will create a link to another "blog" and then you can have a look at the "celebrities" on there. Been celebrities of course, some of the photos have a "few less clothes" than normal !!!

Good News & Bad News !!!

"Bad News" is I have managed to some how or other DELETE all December & January posts of the great blogs I listed. I did not keep a backup or print off a list of the blogs. Don't ask me how I did it, because I don't know myself, but.............

"Good News" is I will re-list as many blogs as I can, that I listed in the past but there are going to be a few I will miss. Having search the blog world for a few months, I have "viewed" a lot of blogs. There are a wide variety of topics - in fact I think every subject under the sun must be covered in one way or another. From what I read somewhere, there are millions & millions of blogs !!! So this blog could go on & on and never run out of great blogs to list. This will be the last time I list Blogs as a batch of 6 - after this I will list blogs as I find them. Then that way, I don't have to go back over the blogs I have made a note of, to see what they were like, again. So keep going back as more & more blogs get listed. AUGUST Blogs - The search for great blogs goes on & on & on - it's never ending. The more rocks I turn over the more blogs I seem to find. So this month for August, we have listed 21 rather than 13. But ....!!! We have only 13 magzines to give away, so if your blog is listed for August, send us an email - now !!! We will send out an envelope to the first 13 who email us their postal address. Each envelope will contain a copy of a NZ computer magazine, with a CD. We will email you back to confirm your postal address, before we mail you out the envelope.

JULY's Blogs - All 13 blogs listed for July receive a NZ Computer magazine with a CD. But...we are still waiting on a couple of people whose blog we listed, to send us their email address. You know who you are, so email us your postal address please. We will email you back to confirm it and post you out the magazine/CD.

In September - Because of the number of great blogs, we are finding out there in the blog world we have decided to list 6 new blogs each Saturday by 12 noon. It will save us a bit of time as well if we list them in small groups, rather than in one hit,The first 3 of those 6 listed to send us an email with their postal address, will be sent out a copy of a NZ computer magazine with a CD.

Finally - here are some great blogs to keep you all happy for 5 minutes. Once I get a Blogroll going" I will list them under the blogroll. A couple of the people, whose blog I have listed here, I haven't been able to contact as yet, but I am sure that they won't mind me mentioning their blogs on here.

It was a hard choice to make - because as I dug down deeper into the bog world, sorry BLOG WORLD and turned over some rocks, I found some great blogs. I haven't listed them or rated them in any particular order - I'll let you decide whats your favourite. What ever you do - when you pay them a visit leave a comment, if its possible. #999 KAMA BLOG #1 Kelvin A Memory Always This is the first ever blog that we started back on Black Friday, the ,13th of May 2005. Each Saturday by 12 noon, we will have put on a new "post" of 10 of an assortment of different things. We are back-to-front though. We have numbered our "posts" - starting at #999, as we head to #1 - so that any time that you "log" on and read, you will know where you left off. Plus if there is any post, that you find amusing, you will be able to tell your many friends, what the "actual number" is rather than them having to search the blog.

Kia Ora Everyone,
Whoever said that you cannot teach "an old dog" new tricks, has not met me. With the help of an email,from "Lab Boy" I have finally cracked it (for want of a better word)and learn how to construct a "link" !!! Thanks a million - Lab Boy - give yourself a pat on the back, because I can't reach from here.

Now,I have to work out, how to get a side-bar on
Haven On Mother Earth because that is not only my H.O.M.E, it is our home, where anyone is welcome to visit. I will be as happy as a pig in mud well happier - once I have worked that out. !!! It may mean changing the template, but I am sure between us, we will work it out.

Over the next few days, I'll start "posting" names of great blogs I have read. I have said it before & I'll say it again - you are in for some treats, believe me. If for any reason, you feel I have slipped up and a great blog in my eyes is not a great blog, in your eyes - let me know !!! Leave a comment or send me an email - be blunt if you have too, get it out of your system. Let me know names of what you consider are great blogs and I'll pay them a visit. We don't mind if they are old or new, so as long there is nothing Blue !!!

We are all in this Blog World together. I have had a look at quite a few blogs. I always leave a message to say that I have paid a visit. Sometimes, I can be a bit blunt - Sometimes,I see a good blog,where the blogger may be thinking of throwing in the towel, because no one is leaving comments - I say, hey, you have got a great blog, "pull finger", keep posting, I'll be back....!!! (Still want to be friends ???)

Even when I come across, a blog where they have great photos, but whose language I can't understand, I leave a comment. There is an old saying,
"One photo is worth a thousand words"People are "surprised" that someone from downunder in New Zealand has left them a comment. Especially, when its the first comment, they have received. When I to write to friends by hand, I always write " I am only as far away as your letterbox". Now adays with computers/blogs,etc I put
"I am only as far away as your computer". If your computer is in your lounge or your bedroom, thats where I am, even though I could be thousands of miles from you. Just make sure, that when I pay a visit, you aren't sitting there in your birthday suit, or you may have to get curtains for your computer!!! You got windows haven't you???

Kia Ora Everyone,
Time is 6.40pm - myself and all those friends that have been helping around the blogs, gathered together at Granny Smiths for a meeting at 5.30pm to discuss a number of issues regarding not only our own KAMA Blog Family, which currently stands at - ?? - but also other blogs. Usually, when we gather, it ends up in "a war of the wor( l )ds", but this time, everyone held their tongue and no smart comments were made.

Some people were getting lost in the "maze" of the Blog World out there and couldn't find their way out again - lucky them !!! The question I asked everyone present was - "Do we start another blog where we tell people what each of our blogs are for, as well as list the "GREAT" blogs that we found, which we know are worth a visit ?"
The answer was "YES" !!! So 21 21 21 Kama Blog has come into been. In our country and in some other countries overseas, there is a tradition that when a person reaches the age of 21, they are given what is called "the key to the door". In our case, it is the "key to our blogs", which we are going to share with you all. But it will be not only for all the KAMA blog family - it will also be for other blogs that we have read & enjoyed and which you will hopefully enjoy reading as well. If you enjoy reading the blogs, leave a comment so we know and the person whose blog it is, knows that we are heading in the right direction.

We search the "blog world" quite often, so if you have any suggestions on "blogs" that we can add to the list, email me. If you have done a search of the blogs, looking for blogs to read, you will know what I mean, when I say that some of the blogs are very hard to understand, while others ??? You end up just clicking on to the next one.

In the side bar of our blogs, we will be listing blogs that we have enjoyed paying a visit to and which we know you will enjoy reading as well. These blogs will be numbered from # 999 - the same way, that we have numbered the blogs on our first ever blog that we started - "Kelvin A Memory Always". Over the next few days, we will list "GREAT" blogs on our side-bar. There are no drinks on offer - well not yet anyway, but there is "Beer" & "Wine" coming up shortly. We do things differently around our KAMA blogs - we are back to front, so to speak. We could of just listed the name of the blog and left it at that, but see no sense in that.We will list the blog name/s on the side-bar, give them a number, and then when you go to 21 21 21, you will see.To you, whats in a name ? If we put say "KAMA Blog" - what does it tell you - nothing. So we will give the blog a number so that when you go to 21 21 21, you will find a description of what you can expect to find within the blog. Makes sense ??? I hope it does.

So simply put - within 21 21 21, you will find a "key to the blog door", which tells you what you can expect to see, within that blog. Where a person has more than one blog, we have "bunched" the blogs together, as you will see. Then that way, if the person/s start another blog, we can add their new blog to their list.

This is all trial & error - hopefully a lot of people will try it, without many errors. As in "REAL LIFE" - you have to try things at least once. If you don't, you will always wonder, what if ??? I aren't talking about anything illegal here either - just normal everyday things. If it doesn't work, the worst thing that could happen is that you fall flat on your face. You will then find out who your true friends are. People will either walk around you, or step over you - they don't want to know you. A "True Friend" on the on the hand who comes along will help you up, dust you off and tell you to get your "arse into gear" and try something else.(Granny Smith is busy) If I came along and you had fallen flat on your face, I would "shake you" - tell you to get up & stop having a sleep. Still want to be friends ??? Hey, you would no doubt have so many friends rushing to help you, that I would not be able to get anywhere near, Knowing me, I would be walking one step behind, so if you fell backwards, I'd be there to catch you. Once I knew you were okay, I would walk in front of you, but far enough ahead, so you couldn't kick me in the bum. Every now & again, I would glance back, to see if you are okay - Friends ???

What are friends for - if not to help each other. It doesn't matter, if we live next door to each other or if we are thousands of miles apart, because when it comes down to it, we are only as far away as the computer !!!
